Over the past few years, Coventry has seen a fair few of its nightclubs shut down for various reasons. Instead, there is the Kasbah - the Hillfields night spot which remains popular - or Jumpin' Jaks at the SkyDome, with not much in between in the way of a good dancefloor. Sadly, the days of the Pink Parrot and the Locarno are long gone. They may have to travel to Birmingham for a decent night out, or perhaps Leamington, with students and locals alike longing for the days of old when there was a top nightclub around every corner. Speak to any youth or youngster in Coventry these days, and they'll probably tell you how there's a serious lack of spots to dance the night away in our city.
